MNOs and TE looking into alterations in infrastructure renting terms for fibre optic cables
The three mobile network operators (MNO) and Telecom Egypt (TE) [ETEL.CA] are looking into changing some terms in the fibre optic cable renting agreement. According to a source in one of the MNOs, one of the adjustments in the renting agreement include not bearing the interconnection costs incurred from the fibre cables and only paying out the renting fees. The adjustments will not grant the MNOs the right to lay out their own fibre optic cable network.
