Lulu to open new store in Jeddah; total of eight new Saudi locations by 2018
Lulu Group, the Abu Dhabi-based retailer, is planning to open its first hypermarket in Jeddah (Saudi’s seventh Lulu location) as part of its expansion plan in the Kingdom. The company is planning to open four more hypermarkets this year (two more in Jeddah and two in Hail and Fofuf). Moreover, a total of eight new locations are planned by 2018, including Makkah and Madina, according to Chairman, Yusuffali M.A., as quoted by local media. The company has invested SAR1bn in Saudi Arabia to date and is planning to invest a further SAR800mn over the next two years. (Gulf Business)
