The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) has received bids from investors for four separate projects worth nearly KWD1.6bn (USD5.2bn) covering water, power, solid waste treatment and education sectors, Arabic daily Al-Nahar said. The projects include Phase 2 of Al-Zour North Independent Water and Power Plant (IWPP), Kabd Municipal Solid Waste Project in the Northern Al-Jahra governorate, expansion of Umm Al-Hayman sewage facilities and the construction of government schools, the local newspaper stated, without naming the bidders, quoting the Finance Ministry as saying the projects would be funded through bank loans and by local and international investors.
