NBE arranges two loans worth EGP20bn for two projects in the power and infrastructure sectors
National Bank of Egypt (NBE) is currently arranging two loans worth EGP20bn for projects in the electricity sector and infrastructure field worth EGP10bn each, according to NBE deputy chairperson Mahmoud Montasser. Montasser said that the completion of the two loans will take at least two months. Negotiations are ongoing with a large number of banks to participate in the two loans, according to Montasser. Montasser added that NBE aims to increase the size of its loan portfolio to c.EGP20bn during the current fiscal year 2016-17, noting that currently the loan book is at c.EGP230bn.
