Waha’s 1H17 profit down on weak income from principal investments segment
Waha Capital reported a net profit of AED183mn for 1H17 versus a net profit of AED306mn in 1H16. The company’s Principal Investments segment’s profit was down 27% Y-o-Y, Asset Management – Capital Markets was up 10% Y-o-Y while Asset Management – Private Equity was flat Y-o-Y. The company reported a ROE of 5% in 1H2017.
