Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) and Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club (Al Jazira) consortium, is expected to float the main construction tender for the USD382mn (AED1.4bn) My City Centre Al Jazira in Abu Dhabi by 4Q17, an unidentified source told Reuters. Design completion is scheduled for October 2017, and enabling works are expected to begin the same month. The tender for the main construction work is expected to be floated by November 2017. The mall is expected to be completed by 1Q21. It will have 80,500 sqm of GLA within a BuA of 215,000 sqm, featuring 153 retail stores, a Carrefour Hypermarket, a 15-screen VOX Cinemas, as well as entertainment, fitness, and dining facilities.
