Waha hires HSBC banker to run unit providing funding to small and medium sized companies

Abu Dhabi investment firm Waha Capital has appointed Mirza Beg, formerly the corporate finance head for HSBC Holdings Plc in the Middle East, to run a business that will offer funding for small and mid-sized companies in the region. Beg, who worked with the British lender for nearly six years in London and Dubai, joined Waha as a managing director for a new credit opportunities division earlier this month. (Bloomberg)
