UAE inflation edges down to 1.62% Y-o-Y in May on food prices
Inflation in UAE decelerated to 1.62% Y-o-Y and 0.25% M-o-M in May from 1.62% Y-o-Y and 0.38% M-o-M in April. Food and beverages prices decelerated to 0.66% Y-o-Y from 3.08% Y-o-Y in April and fell 0.96% M-o-M in May after growing 0.32% M-o-M in the previous month. Housing and utility costs slowed to 3.48% Y-o-Y and 0.02% M-o-M in May from 3.69% Y-o-Y and 0.08% M-o-M in April. (Bloomberg)
