Two companies express interest in issuing sukuks

Two unnamed companies, partially owned by the government, submitted requests to the FRA to issue Shariah-compliant sukuk, which will be used to finance new projects this year, according to unnamed sources. One issuance would be worth EGP1bn, while the other’s value is yet to be decided. Sarwa Capital will be managing the issuance for one of the companies, while the other company will be managing its own.
