Thomas Cook resumes direct flights to Sharm Al Sheikh in November
The Ministry of Tourism agreed with British Thomas Cook to resume flights from the UK to Sharm El Sheikh city starting November, according to Al-Mal, citing the Minister of Tourism Yehia Rashed. The company will operate 34 weekly flights to Sharm El Sheikh, Luxor and Hurghada cities, and the Ministry has requested to raise the number of flights to 80, he said. Guardian, on the other hand, reports that the ban on direct flights from the UK to Sharm El Sheikh remains, but there is no ban on visiting the area, and that tourists have to fly there via Cairo.
