T-bill yields continue to decline in Sunday’s auction
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued on Sunday EGP18.4bn in T-bills, exceeding the EGP17bn planned for the auction. Yields on the EGP8.7bn three-month tenor dropped by 15bps to 17.631%, and yields on the EGP9.67bn nine-month tenor fell by 12bps to 17.668%. Submitted bids covered 1.7x the required amount for the auction, which led the CBE to accept an additional c14% for the nine-month tenor.
