Six Flags Entertainment Corp (Six Flags) plans to expand to Saudi Arabia, according to a statement made by John Duffey, CEO. This followed the news, out earlier on the same day, that Saudi Arabia had allowed Six Flags to operate in the country. It remains to be seen how this agreement will be structured, in light of the exclusivity agreement between Six Flags and Dubai Parks and Resorts’ (DPR) parent, Meraas Holding, giving the latter exclusivity over Six Flag’s expansionary plans in the MENA region, including Saudi Arabia.
