Shoura Council approves bill calling for establishing fund for financing opening private sector healthcare services to the public
The Health Committee at the Shoura Council of Saudi Arabia approved a study to amend article four of the Healthcare services scheme, for the establishment of a government fund that allows citizens to utilize both public and private sector healthcare services, according to Al Riyadh newspaper. The study included that the beneficiary of the insurance deduction should not exceed 5% of the cost of the primary healthcare services provided, where exemptions could be applicable to those who cannot afford the service. The study included that the fund should cover all primary healthcare services. (Argaam, Al Riyadh)
