Sharjah airport passenger numbers rise 12% Y-o-Y in April 2016
Passengers travelling through Sharjah International Airport, hub for budget carrier Air Arabia (AIRA.DU), rose 12% Y-o-Y in April 2016 reaching 915,101 passengers from 814,648 passengers a year earlier. Meanwhile, the number of aircraft landings and take-offs increased 4% to 6,050, while the amount of cargo handled fell 20% to 14,944 tonnes, according to the data on the airport authority’s website.
