Saudi Ceramics commences commercial operations at new sanity ware plant; expected revenues of c.SAR140mn/annum
Saudi Ceramics Company (2040.SE) announced that it has commenced commercial operations at its new sanity ware plant, as it had finalised the trial operation. The plant’s investment cost stood at C.SAR210mn, with a production capacity of 25,000 tonnes/annum, production capacity and costs came higher than the earlier announced figures, as the company had completed parts of the planned second phase of the project, in response to market needs and contrary to its initial plan of limiting the development to phase one of the project. Accordingly, the resulting revenues from the plant are expected to come at c.SAR140mn vs. the earlier announced figure of c.SAR75mn, assuming production at full capacity, and with the new product mix. The plant’s material impact is expected to appear by end of 3Q16. (Company disclosure) Saudi Ceramics: SAR37.60 as of 28 June 2016, Rating: Buy, FV: SAR60.00 per share, MCap: USD501 million, SCERCO AB / 2040.SE
