Saudi Arabia’s Andalusia bids EGP140mn for Egypt’s Al Safwa hospital
Saudi-based Andalusia Group’s subsidiary, Andalusia for Medical Services, submitted an offer to acquire 100% of Al-Safwa Hospital in sixth October city for EGP140mn after it had finalised the due diligence process, according to sources speaking to Al Borsa. The deal includes Al Safwa’s hospital (general hospital with 60 beds, 7 ORs), and there is potential for the deal to include buying a neighbouring plot of land to build a new hospital. Andalusia Group investments in Egypt includes 51% of Al Salama Hospital in Alexandria, Al Nakheel hospital in Maadi, along with other specialised subsidiaries in the healthcare industry. The company had earlier announced plans to invest USD150mn in Egypt and Saudi Arabia within the next five years; USD100mn in Saudi Arabia and USD50mn in Egypt. (Al Borsa)
