Saudi Arabia inaugurates two industrial mining cities
The Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Khalid Al-Falih, announced that King Salman would inaugurate one of the two industrial mining cities - Ras Al-Khair - next week. This city, which will have an alumina plant and an aluminum smelting unit, will open up more investment and job opportunities in the Kingdom in line with the Vision 2030, Al-Falih said. The other city, Wa’ad Al-Shamal, will be specialised in phosphate, he added. A total of 2,000 licences have been approved in this sector, said Al-Falih, adding that the Kingdom now manages to meet the local demand for Portland cement, gypsum and other basic construction material.
