Salalah Port net profit slips on lower transshipment volumes
Salalah Port Services Co's (SPSC) consolidated revenue dropped 7.5% in 2015 to OMR49.5mn impacted by lower container transshipment volumes. This compared with OMR53.53mn in 2014. The company realised a net profit of OMR5.18mn in 2015, which was marginally lower from OMR5.26mn in the previous year. The port's container terminal handled 2.57mn twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in 2015, down 15% from 3.03mn TEUs a year earlier. (Muscat Daily)
