SABIC subsidiary Jubail United Petrochemical Company shuts down its MEG plant for two weeks of scheduled maintenance
According to an article on Argaam website, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation's (SABIC) [2010.SE] subsidiary, Jubail United Petrochemical Company, has shut down its MEG plant for a period of two weeks for scheduled maintenance. The article added that the plant had an annual capacity of 700,000 tonnes per year (tpy) of MEG. It is worth noting that Jubail United Petrochemical company is 75%-owned by SABIC, 15%-owned by the Public Insurance Fund, and 10%-owned by the General Organization of Social Insurance.
