Qalaa Holdings to start trial operations of last two units in ERC during June, August
Qalaa Holdings Investor Relations Manager Tamer Darwish announced that Qalaa’s Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) facility is still in the trial phase and will begin trial runs of the remaining two units in June and August. ERC will start operations in by end-3Q19. Also, Qalaa's TAQA Arabia, which currently owns 54 stations, is targeting to increase its stations by 7-10 each year. Darwish also announced that Taqa Arabia will be targeting to connect 150K gas connections to the national grid in 2019. He also announced that Qalaa’s ASCOM will be focusing on completing the third line of producing calcium carbonate in 3Q19 to increase its exports. As for the holding level debt, the company is targeting to finalise a restructuring plan for USD240mn this year.
