President gives directions to balance IMF demands, social welfare
President Sisi met asks the Prime Minister and the Cabinet Economic Group to ensure balance between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) demands and the social welfare needs whilst talks for the three-year IMF loan. The President stressed the urgency to control government spending and energy consumption, encourage local production, prevent unnecessary imports, and stabilise food prices. (Al Ahram)
