Pfizer, the global pharmaceutical producer, is planning on opening a plant for its pharmaceutical products in 2017 in King Abdullah Economic City, which will produce 16 types of pharmaceutical products, according to Argaam, citing a statement from Saudi Arabian Investment Authority (SAGIA). This follows Pfizer’s acquisition of a commercial licence from the (SAGIA) that allows the company to own 100% of its operations in Saudi Arabia, allowing the company to inject additional investments to the market. Moreover, the new licence will enable Pfizer to participate in the import, export and trade of pharmaceutical products. (Argaam, SAGIA)
