Petroleum Minister visits Abu Dhabi, says not going to Iran
The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla attended on Monday an oil conference in Abu Dhabi where he told reporters that he was not going to Iran, appearing to contradict a report on Sunday that he was on his way to Tehran to strike new oil deals. Sources close to his delegation said on Sunday that the Minister was on was on his way to Tehran to meet several senior Iranian officials to discuss the possibility of securing oil supplies from Iran. An Iranian media report that El-Molla will visit Iran on Monday for a meeting with his Iranian counterpart is incorrect, an Iranian oil official said. (Reuters)
