Parliament holds emergency meeting as EGP hits record low against USD
The parliament’s Economic and Industry Committee will reportedly hold an emergency meeting today as the EGP continues its slide, hitting a record-low against the USD on Sunday to reach USD/EGP 12.70-12.90 in the parallel market. Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Egypt continues to shutdown exchange bureaus, bringing the number of shut bureaus in recent months to 17. (Al-Masry Al-Youm)
