Omantel signs cable deal with Xtera Communications Inc.
Omantel [OTL.OM] has successfully sealed a cable deal with Xtera Communications Inc. (Xtera) to build a submarine cable, connecting Somalialand, Puntland and Ethiopia. The cable should be operational and ready to use by 4Q2016. Ethio Telecom, Golis Telecom and Telesom Company will partner with Omantel to connect the submarine cable.
