Oman fund to invest USD50mn in Chinese aviation firm
Oman Investment Fund has agreed to buy USD50mn in the initial public offering of BOC Aviation, the aircraft leasing unit of Bank of China. BOC Aviation attracted investors including Boeing and the Chinese sovereign wealth fund (SWF) to buy shares in its USD1.1bn initial public offering in Hong Kong. BOC Aviation and its controlling shareholder are offering a combined 208.2mn shares in the IPO at a fixed price of HK$42 per share. The company has agreed to sell shares to 11 cornerstone investors, who will take up 52% of the base offering, the terms show. (Times of Oman)
