New terminal planned at King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has announced its plans to develop a new terminal, Terminal 6, at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh, on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis. Terminal 6 is intended to have a design capacity to handle 35mn passengers a year, local media reports said, citing Tariq Al-Jabbar, Deputy Head of airports at GACA. Details on the timeline of the project is yet to be announced. (MEED)
