Negotiations are ongoing between the Ministry of International Cooperation and the Russian government for an EGP5 billion-equivalent Russian loan to finance the construction of a sewage treatment plant in Helwan. Representatives from the Housing Ministry and the Ministry of the International Cooperation are planned to meet in Sharm El-Sheikh in early February to further discuss the terms of the loan. The project will be executed over four phases, with 500,000 cubic metres in capacity each, to be completed over two to three years. (Al Borsa)
