State-owned National Bank of Egypt (NBE) issued new letters of credit worth USD17mn on Sunday, to various sectors notably automotive, food industries and pharmaceuticals, Vice Chairman said. The bank is keen to provide dollar liquidity to all sectors especially food, he added. The bank’s newly issued 18-month and three-year certificates of deposits have yielded USD700mn thus far.
