Telecom Egypt (TE) [ETEL.CA] and mobile network operators (MNOs) are still discussing the technical and financial aspects of the domestic roaming agreement, which will allow TE to offer 2G and 3G services through the MNOs’ networks, according to unnamed sources. The National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) initially gave the operators a two-month grace period to come up with an agreement and extended it for two more months, which will end on 15 February 2017.
