Ministry of Health agrees on increasing pharmacists' margin
The Ministry of Health and Population has agreed on applying the pharmacists margin as per Decree No. 499 to 23% for locally produced products and 15% for imports, according to a source at The Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce speaking to Al Mal. The agreement means that pharmacists will abandon their earlier planned strike as their demands have been met by the government, whereas a pharmacist syndicate source speaking to Al Mal said those margins will apply to medicines that were included in the recent price increases in May 2016 and January 2017.
