Nama Chemicals announces decrease in value of its fixed assets

Nama Chemicals Company (Nama) [2210.SE] has announced that the company will incur losses as a result of the decrease in its fixed assets, specifically property plant and equipment, and that they are still assessing its total financial impact. The company added that the fixed assets subject to impairment are worth SAR1,522mn, and that the current accumulated loss is SAR322.73mn, as of 30 September 2016. The company received a full report from its financial advisor explaining all the details about the financial impact, which will be discussed at the next BoD meeting. Finally, the company pointed out that the full details about the matter will be disclosed in 1Q17. It is worth mentioning that the impairment test was mentioned in note 4 in the company’s 3Q16 financial statement. (Tadawul)
