Ministry of Supply to invest EGP2.3bn to launch 1,430 retail outlets
The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade announced that it would open 80 major retail outlets and 1,350 mobile food distribution sites within six months at a total cost of EGP2.3bn, according to Minister of Supply Khaled Hanafi. The chains are to be developed nationwide in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Monufia, Dakahlia and Fayoum and are part of the initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to develop the domestic trade sector aiming to provide affordable food commodities to citizens, as well as create job opportunities.
