Ministry of Finance sets pricing for 71 inactive drug ingredients and 25 pharmaceutical packaging materials, including 10% sales tax
Egypt’s Ministry of Finance has set compulsory pricing for 71 inactive drug ingredients used in pharmaceutical production and 25 pharmaceutical drugs packaging materials, with the new prices including a 10% sales tax. The Ministry of Finance sent a copy of the decree to the customs department, to be used for reference when dealing with import bills related to those products (the bulk of raw materials for pharmaceutical drugs in Egypt are imported).
