Mercedes-Benz will potentially resume assembling in Egypt
Mercedes-Benz has agreed, in principle, to resume car assembly in Egypt, according to a statement by Suez Canal Development Authority (SCZone). The decision came after a meeting between company representatives and SCZone head Mohab Mamish, at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. Mercedes halted assembly in Egypt in mid-2015, as a result of FX shortages and increased easiness of importing fully assembled cars.
