MEAHCO to re-claim SAR13.5mn tax paid on IFC's share of profit
Middle East Healthcare Company (MEAHCO) [4009.SE], the owner of Saudi German Hospitals in the Kingdom, has received an approval from the General Authority of Tax and Zakat to reclaim SAR13.6mn tax paid by MEAHCO on the International Finance Corporation (IFC)'s share of profit - the IFC holds an 8% stake of MEHACO and its mandate makes it tax-exempt globally. Accordingly, the old payments, amounting to SAR13.5mm, were approved as advance zakat payments, in addition, moving forward, IFC’s share of profit in the company will be tax-exempt.
