Licenses for cement exports delayed as government decides on the increment of energy pricing for exports
The issuing licenses for cement exports has been delayed, after the government had already approved the lifting of the export ban. The delay is due to it deciding on the energy price for exports (vs the subsidised price paid for cement consumed locally) that will be set by the government, says the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, according to Al Jazirah newspaper. The ministry will soon announce the timeline for issuing the cement licenses once the price for exports is determined, according to a source in the Ministry of Commerce and Investment.
