KSA to invite bids for new renewable energy projects in April, Energy Minister says
Saudi Arabia will invite international and domestic companies to bid for renewable energy projects in April, Minister of Energy, Khalid al-Falih, said, adding that he had expected to award the deals in September. The projects will include two new solar and wind power plants, with a capacity to produce 700 MW of power. The projects are part of a major renewable energy supply programme, which is expected to involve investments of between USD30-50bn by 2023. (Reuters)
