Khazzan tight gas project to start production by 4Q2017
Khazzan tight gas project is on schedule to start first natural gas production on commercial basis in the fourth quarter of this year, said Salim Al Aufi, undersecretary at the Ministry of Oil and Gas. The project began in 2014 and the completed development will eventually contribute roughly a third of Oman’s natural gas supply. BP Oman is lead partner in the project with a 60% interest in Khazzan project, while Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production holds 40 per cent. (Times of Oman)
