IDA receives six requests for new cement production licences
The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) has received requests for six cement production licences from six cement producers, according to an IDA source speaking to Al Mal. IDA is currently offering 11 cement licences, where the specific timeline and deadlines for submissions were not announced yet, the article added. The licences will be for 2m tonne each, and will be offered in governorates of Qena, Aswan, New Valley, Marsa Matrouh, Suez, and South Sinai. South Valley cement (SVCE.CA) BoD member has told Al Mal that the company is studying whether it should apply for a new licences, after it had secured a licence in November 2016 in Beni Suef.
