Italy's Eni to sell 30% stake in Egyptian gas field to Russia's Rosneft
Italian energy company Eni, which currently owns 90% of the Shorouk concession containing Egypt’s Zohr gas field, has agreed to sell a 30% stake in the field to Russia's Rosneft for USD1.575bn. Rosneft will pay USD1.125bn cash for the stake and will reimburse investments already carried out by Eni for cUSD450mn. Rosneft also has an option to buy a further 5% stake. (Reuters)
