Inflation in Oman grows by 1.3% in July

Oman’s CPI-based inflation logged a 1.3% rise in July 2016 compared to the same month in 2015, primarily driven by a 7.87% rise in transport and 0.88% rise in housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel set prices, according to the latest data released by the National Centre for Statistics & Information (NCSI). Average inflation over the January-July period increased by 0.82% compared with 2015. (Times of Oman)
