Housing Ministry planning new phase for Bait Al-Wattan
The Ministry of Housing is planning to offer a 3,000 to 4,000 land plot for sale in a new phase for “Bait Al-Wattan,” a project that is dedicated to Egyptians abroad, set for early 2017. The latest launch for the project included 3,000 land plots, with a total sales value of USD900mn out of the 3,000-unit pool, 2,000 of which were in New Cairo, while the rest were spread across Sixth of October City, Badr, New Damietta, New Aswan, New Assiout, and New Qena. Prices had reached USD550/sqm in New Cairo, USD450/sqm in Sixth of October, USD400/sqm in New Damietta, USD225/sqm in Badr City and USD125/sqm in each of New Assiout, New Qena and New Aswan. “Bait Al-Wattan” is one of a few sources of foreign currency income to the Housing Ministry.
