There was a 7% increase in the number of guests at the three- and five-star hotels in the Sultanate at the end of June 2017 compared to the same period in 2016, according to the data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). The total number of guests stood at 758,601 compared to 709,081 guests last year. The total occupancy rate grew up 0.8% to reach 57.3% during the period under review compared with 56.8% last year.
