Schneider Electric and US-company Seven Seas Water are in talks with the Egyptian government over the construction of a new desalination plant. According to Schneider Electric's Energy Director for North East Africa and the Levant, the US company will be in charge of arranging financing and selling the processed water back to the government under a 20-year agreement. He added that the stations will be constructed over several phases, the first of which is set to process 300cbm of water per day. While negotiations on the price per cubic meter are still ongoing, the details of the timeline and investment value of the project remain undisclosed.
