Government awards 9 tourism projects worth SAR433mn
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) has awarded nine museum and heritage projects worth over SAR433mn to a number of local companies across the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported Saturday. SCTH will award five more projects, part of a scheme to develop 230 cultural heritage projects costing more than SAR1.4bn. The projects include the establishment of new museums, development of existing ones, and expansion of the National Museum. They also include maintaining, fencing and placing information signs at archaeological and heritage sites, in addition to other projects to rehabilitate a number of archaeological ones across the Kingdom.
