Foreign debt jumps 41% Y-o-Y to USD67bn

Egypt's foreign debt jumped 40.8% Y-o-Y to USD67.32bn in December, Central Bank (CBE) figures showed. This is compared to a 28.9% Y-o-Y rise in domestic debt to USD3.05bn, according to the CBE. The rise comes after Egypt had received the first USD2.75bn tranche of the IMF USD12bn loan, and a reverse repo agreement with global banks of USD2bn both in 4Q16
