The offering of the 64 land plots launched by the General Authority for Investment (GAFI) on behalf of the Ministry of Housing attracted only 1% in bids. The bidding documents were made available starting 13 January and through tomorrow, 4 February, as per the original plan. Moustafa Madbouli, Ministry of Housing, has approved a one-month-extension, through 4 March. These plots total 1,500 feddans and are spread over 20 new cities, ranging from 3.5 feddans and 106 feddans each, of which: i) 11 are in Sixth of October City with prices ranging between EGP2,140/sqm and EGP2,650/sqm; ii) four plots are in New Cairo, with prices ranging between 4,310/sqm and EGP4,510/sqm; iii) four plots are in New Minya, at EGP570/sqm; iv) One in Sherouk City, at EGP1,500/sqm.
