Finance Ministry denies reports of stamp tax increases
The Finance Ministry is not planning to raise stamp tax rates, Minister Mohamed Maait said Monday at the Euromoney Conference, according to Al Mal. The Minister denied reports that stated there were proposed amendments to the Stamp Tax Act, which would see the tax and fees hiked on electricity consumption, banking transactions, car and driving licences, and several government documents, amongst other things.
