The government is aiming to limit foreign borrowing to USD14.326bn in FY19/20, according to a government document obtained by Reuters on Thursday. Egypt is expecting total foreign debt to reach USD102.863bn and aims to repay USD10.326bn to foreign lenders in FY19/20, according to the document. Last week, Reuters reported that the government had set a foreign borrowing cap of USD16.733bn for the current fiscal year (FY18/19) and expects total foreign debt to reach USD98.863bn.
